UPDATE: Hey there, Dandy-philes! I’m getting set to move out of my current apartment and into a NEW one in April. So if you’ve ever thought about making a donation or a commission request, this would be a REALLY, REALLY good time! I’m just sayin’.
Some folks have asked me why, in an all-ages strip, did I choose for my mysterious villain to brandish a realistic gun rather than something more fanciful, and in all reality, I did it because I didn’t want the choice of weapon to lead to folks using it to try and figure out WHO or WHAT the baddy IS. That, and in a strip where superweapons are commonplace, there was more surprise to be had with a realistic handgun. (And if you look back, it’s not the only time in the archives that a realistic gun has been seen.)

I have to admit that I’m having a lot of fun complicating the plot here. I’m experimenting with more open-ended adventures that blead from one to the other more fluidly rather that with a more definitive ending.

Generally speaking, while Mistake has been in peril before, he’s never really been AWARE of it. As such it’s a bit interesting to me to have him be aware that something’s wrong. I think it helps sell the tone.

Oh, how I’ve been DYING to put this art up for all to see. I started working on it weeks ago, but new I really couldn’t show it without giving away the Robot Cats. But now that the story is really ready to start rolling, I can FINALLY showcase this art. I hope you dig this somewhat theatrical kick-off to the Summer action!
