Sometimes, we cartoonists introduce characters into the strip with the BEST of intentions… We want to broaden the scope of the strips potential with characters that force us to explore other styles of humor or personality… and sometimes those characters click and become wildly popular. (Examples: Snuffles, Pumpkin, Audrey)
Annnnnd then there’s Herb. Herb just never clicked for me. His tech-nerd personality is VERY hard to write and never adds anything to the cast dynamic other than a reason for Mistake NOT to live with Dandy, which most folks never remembered anyway. As such, Herb’s moving away. I’m not saying I’m NEVER going to show him again, but dang it if I can’t think of a good reason to.
Farewell Herb… you’d be missed if anyone noticed you in the first place.

Just when the flow of guest strips had dried up, I get this beauty from a fellow named Stefano Collavini. He’s the creator of the esoteric webcomic, “Through Happiness and Sarcasm”. Also, be gentle on his English, as it’s his second language. I don’t like editing guest strips, and as such did not do so here, though I suspect the last line should have read: “That would avoid us HAVING to swallow the Red Pill out of the blue.”
