ROBOT KOMBAT!!!!!

After drawing this strip, let me just say that if Mr. Fuzzy is fortunate enough to survive this story line, this design WILL be simplified considerably. lol. It’s a fun design to draw, but it takes FOREVER!

That said, I always find it interesting that the robot animals have proportions and body language that is actually ANIMAL-like. The real animals in the strip are bi-pedal, but Mr. Fuzzy and the Cat-tomatons walk on all-fours… Weird.

Got your nose!

While this strip DOES serve to explain a little bit about what happened with “Evil” Mistake and why he’s somewhat less “evil” now, it also serves to re-introduce you all to the wonders of “EVIL DANDY”.

I like hurting Evil Dandy whenever possible.

Interrogation Technique

Dandy clearly has his Gitmo Interrogation techniques down pat. That said, I don’t really think Dandy was all that focused on his task in this particular instance. He’s always been prone to allowing his impulses to control his actions, and this strip is no exception.

On top of things

Just a quick reminder that I AM doing my best not to let any of the plot threads here go. There’s a lot going on right now, but it’s all part of the plan.

Requiem for a stereotype…

Sometimes, we cartoonists introduce characters into the strip with the BEST of intentions… We want to broaden the scope of the strips potential with characters that force us to explore other styles of humor or personality… and sometimes those characters click and become wildly popular. (Examples: Snuffles, Pumpkin, Audrey)

Annnnnd then there’s Herb. Herb just never clicked for me. His tech-nerd personality is VERY hard to write and never adds anything to the cast dynamic other than a reason for Mistake NOT to live with Dandy, which most folks never remembered anyway. As such, Herb’s moving away. I’m not saying I’m NEVER going to show him again, but dang it if I can’t think of a good reason to.

Farewell Herb… you’d be missed if anyone noticed you in the first place.
