Well, 2008 starts TOMORROW, and so does “Dandy & Company” returning to it’s ol’ five-day-a-week schedule.

That’s right, folks. Tune in TOMORROW for an all new strip!

While this current storyline certainly is having it’s heavy moments, it can’t ALL be pure drama. There’s always laughs to be found, especially when Dandy is actually experiencing FEELINGS… obviously an uncomfortable, rare thing for our leading dog.

Don’t ask me where the Butterfly came from in the beginning of January… it’s just one of the many mysteries of the universe. And it’s EXTRA depressing just to torment Bernard.

I wanted to try something a little bit different starting today. I’ve been noticing lately that I’ve let my template for the strip really dictate my storytelling and that’s kinda lazy.

I was re-reading some collections of Frank Cho’s wonderful LIBERTY MEADOWS and kept noticing how dynamically he layed out his daily strips, using formats and layouts I’ve never even considered to punch the drama or comedy of a scene and today’s strip is my sad little first step into that larger world. Hopefully, it’s not my last.
