The 2006 ORLANDO MEGACON Convention was a phenominal success for me. I’ve never done so well at a convention as copies of my new comic, TAILS TO AMAZE sold like gangbusters. I got to meet some creators I’ve always wanted to meet such as artist-extrodinaire, Mike Wieringo and voice actor Billy West.

It was a fantastic time, although it re-inforced just how missed “Dandy & Co.” is as many of you all came up to me to tell me so. I AM working out just how I want to approach doing new D&C material, and I hope to have some news for you all soon.

UPDATE: DANDY & COMPANY is going to return!

I’m currently in the process of roughing out NEW stories and adventures for our cast of crazies. But right now, I’m torn with what kind of format I want to tell these stories IN. As such, in the FORUMS is a new thread with a poll up to help gauge just what YOU all think would be the best way to showcase new DANDY & COMPANY adventures. Drop in and let your voice be heard…

UPDATE: DANDY & COMPANY is going to return!

Well, the polls are closed and I’ve made my decision as to the format of the new “Dandy & Co.” strips… yes, strips.

Starting on the tenative (i.e., Subject to change) date of July 3rd, 2006, Dandy & Company will be returning to the web with all new adventures! The strip will run new material every Monday, Wednesday, Friday AND Sunday.

The m-w-f strips will be the traditional, black and white daily format, but with Sunday, I want to try some new things. Sunday will be called “Dandy & Company: Community Theatre” and will be a rotating showcase of New Sunday-style strips, Skeches, random art, preview art, guest art or anything that catches my fancy that week. It will allow me to make new, large format strips when needed but also have fun and just draw for it’s own sake when I feel the urge.

Dandy & Company: Community Theatre will also feature the occasional appearance of TAILS TO AMAZE material or even my takes on other folks comics of ideas. It should be a fun experiment. Feel free to register and have your thoughts on the subject known in the FORUMS!.

I am a complete and total MORON of the 1st degree. A couple of months back, I fell for a dumb fake credit card scam when I really needed the dough, and now I’m paying for it… BIG TIME!

My bank account JUST got a few hundred bucks fished out by these jerks and I have to rush to my bank first thing in the morning to lock the account and try and see if I can get any of my money back before any of my OTHER bills go through and bounce. I can’t describe in words how STUPID I feel about this… In hindsight, I can’t believe I fell for this. Don’t YOU guys fall for THIS like I did. Hopefully, I can get all this worked out. DANG IT!

Hey, everyone. I just found out that one of my favorite comics, The Dreamland Chronicles by Scott Sava, has made the transition to the WEB. Actually, it’s been running online for a WHILE now, but it’s new to ME, so you all should check it out!

“Ever since he could remember, Alexander was a dreamer. Every night when he would go to sleep he would enter a world called Dreamland. Nightly he would have adventures with his very best friends, Kiwi the fairy, Paddington Rumblebottom the rock boy, and Nastajia the princess of elves. Together they would fly on winged horses, swim with mermaids, battle nightmare pirates, and chase after one eyed giants.

On his 12th birthday, while in Dreamland Alexander uncovers a lost tomb. Inside he finds a sword, and guarding it…a dragon. Before the dragon can kill him, Alexander wakes up…never to dream again.

Now…eight years later, Alexander finds a pendant that lets him travels back to the place of his childhood dreams. Rediscovering this magical world for the first time since his youth he meets his childhood friends who are also now grown up.”

I picked up the printed first issue of this and was blown away by the 3-D rendered art and fantasy designs. It’s a beautiful, fun comic you all should be reading!
