When I first created Charlotte, I never planned to use her any further than the initial “Bully” storyline. But as time has passed, I discovered I liked adding another antagonistic character to the mix. Plus, she’s just plain fun to draw.

Well, more than a few of you out there are happy to see Charlotte back in the strip. There’s no shortage of assertive female characters in the Dandyverse, are there. But even more important than adding another lady (And I’m using that term loosely in regards to Char.) it’s the addition of a new antagonist for Bernard… not Dandy.

Sometimes it’s good for me to remember that the strip is called “Dandy & COMPANY”. It ain’t all about the dog!
