Assignment Issues

It’s not clear if it’s Audrey or Coach Daws that has the bigger issues with authority here, but this IS partly inspired by reality. I DID actually do very basic art assignments multiple times (during the time period I was supposed to do it ONCE) to annoy the teacher. In my defense, I was forbidden from doing anything ELSE (except the ever present grade school “Activity” of putting ones head down and being quiet.) with my time once I completed assignments.

She said, she said

I’m trying something a little different with the word balloons today that more accurately reflects how I make balloons when I draw them by hand.

Sympathy pain

While Principal Brunner may SYMPATHIZE with Audrey, she’s also not particularly willing to DO anything about the situation just yet. As for Audrey, it most certainly is a “Situation” as Coach Daws is more than willing to take advantage of her authority. It’s an obnoxious trap most kids find themselves in. (And for the record, most ADULTS have the same problems, but Principals and Teachers are replaced with Bosses and supervisors.)

Who’s got game?

After the storyline of Bernard showing that he’s learned a thing or two about pranking, It ended with Dandy reminding Bernard who was the boss regarding pranking.

Well, that sparked an idea in me that is continuing in THIS strip. For years now, one of the more regular complaints I’ve gotten is that Bernard never seems to get back at Dandy for all the pranking. Personally, I think those critics haven’t read the whole archives, BUT I do want to show that Bernard is much more on Dandy’s level now-a-days.
