Division of Labor

Even though I felt like Friday’s strip wrapped up the babysitting story well, there was no official point where the story “Ends”, so I wanted to have a strip that clearly mentions that the kids are not there anymore. I think this strip puts a good cap on that plot while still having some fun back and forth gabbing between Dandy and Bernard.

Watcher in the Woods

Generally speaking, while Mistake has been in peril before, he’s never really been AWARE of it. As such it’s a bit interesting to me to have him be aware that something’s wrong. I think it helps sell the tone.

Grainy Security Cam Footage

Since this kind of reveal is rarely hilarious, I decided to front load the strip with some humor. Although the line about “Internet Speculation” is KINDA a joke, referring to the crazy amount of guesses about the identity of the Mystery Trucker that’s been a constant since this story has began.

That all said, PLEASE tell me I’m not the only person who remembers “Parker Lewis Can’t Lose”.

Overblown Summer Storyline

By this point, I think it should be obvious that the gang can just SMELL these stories coming. Still, I like the drama of Mistake’s discarded goggles laying there.
