Interrogation

Everyone keeps wondering what happened on Dandy and Maryweather’s date, so I knew this strip was important to put a bit of a cap on the evening for both couples. As for just what Dandy is smiling about in the last panel, I’ll let you all ponder it.

Dandy’s not telling ME either. ;)

Fundamental Changes

I was really struggling with a decent way to elaborate on just what suggestions Dandy made. I knew the suggestions, in and of themselves, weren’t overtly hilarious. As I was beginning drawing this strip, the initial script had Dandy and Maryweather essentially discussing, at length, that they had a good time. I was drawing the first panel when I realized that I could have Maryweather mention Audrey and Bernard’s date and have a more meaty conversation AND get that info out there. The last two panels here are pretty much what I originally wrote, so you can see that my original opening panels weren’t at all essential to the strip.

Sometimes, the answers just pop out at you.

The Cloud of Death

Okay, this is a tasteless gag that I’ve wanted to do for a while now. Seriously, this HAPPENS! You bend down to drop your pants, let one slip and end up sitting down where your head is right where you just fumigated. It’s a cruel but horrible reality.

FROM THE BLOG: A Mangled Crossover

It’s been a while since Bernard has been tasked with watching the Mangulario kids, but RECENT EVENTS over in Will Rodriguez’s “MANGLED STARE” have forced the burrito-loving hero to call upon the babysitting skills of our own Mr. Brooks and Company. Check out “MANGLED STARE” for the whole story AND a cameo by Bernard [...]

Grammar Rodeo

Okay, I couldn’t resist doing this gag. If you’ve read this lil’ strip for any length of time, you’re well aware that I’m hardly the best speller in the world and I have the occasional problem using the wrong version of “They’re” or “It’s”. And while I’m goofing on all of you guys who regularly correct me, I’m also goofing on myself, so don’t take it TOO seriously. :)
