Yeah, there’s a southern Aligator in the local pond, and for the first time in the actual STRIP, I’ve decided to mention her name. ( which is now revealed to be “Lutie”.)

For those of you new to the strip, or just those of you suffering head injuries, you can see Lutie’s first appearance in THIS story, where Dandy was mistakenly shipped to a Gator park in Florida, in a crate that was SUPPOSED to be frozen chickens.

As it turned out, Lutie liked the taste of Dandy’s tail so much that the smitten gator decided to follow him home and was found living in the local pond. After a while, Lutie learned to settle for Fried chicken Dandy provided on occasion and warm up the the gang.

She first started talking (and listening to Maryweather’s romantic problems) here.
