UPDATE: I just did a guest strip for my buddy, Will Rodriguez’s comic “MANGLED STARE”. If you’re a “Dandy” fan, you really owe it to yourself to check out the adventures of the Mighty Mangler and family. Heck, it’s well established that both “Mangled Stare” and “Dandy & Co.” co-exist in the same universe and the Mangler has been a running character in these parts a FEW times.

This is kinda a running gag by now… the horrible scream heard or felt by someone entirely too far away to normally have heard anything. And on top of THAT, It’s really just a rif on Obi Wan feeling all the people on Alderan biting it in Episode 4. Still, it never gets old for me.

What’s important here is really to establish that our resident brain is stumped. Longtime readers may recal that it was Maryweather’s ideas that Dandy acted on to save Bernard from Skeezicks LAST time, so things have been amped up a little.

Of course, for ME, the real fun in this strip is drawing Bernard all banged up.

UPDATE: This week is guest week at D.C. Simpson’s OZY and MILLIE, one of the finest comics on the web or off. Frankly, I think D.C. blows ME out of the water, and I jumped at the chance to draw some guest strips for his comic. (And finally return the favor for THIS piece of excellent fan art made months ago.)

I’m not certain WHEN my 2 entries will be running this week, but you should be checking them all out anyway.

Was there ANY chance that Dandy was going to let Pumpkin get off unscathed? Yeah, I didn’t think so either.

After years of folks trying to get me to put my artwork for sale on EBAY, I finally decided to give it a try. Of course, with the strip being drawn DIGITALLY, I have very few options to do any REAL original art. But last year, I DID produce 12 original, full color watercolor illustrations for the 2007 Dandy & Company Calendar that I’ve been holding onto for just such an occasion.

So, fo a limited time, I’m offering up all 12 pieces of original art from the 2007 Calendar for auction on EBAY. These pieces are 8.5″ X 11″, watercolor illustrations and are each one of a kind original “Dandy & Company” art. You can check out previews of the images and see their ebay listings here.

I hope this is a treat for anyone interested in owning a REAL piece of “D&C” history. (And I’d like to add, that if anyone bids on and wins more than ONE piece of original art in any of these auctions, I will refund the shipping costs down to all but one cost, as obviously I would be able to send all the pieces of art in one package to you.)
