If you’re thinking “What’s funny about today’s strip”, you might be in for a surprise to learn that “Dandy & Company” isn’t just a gag-a-day comic. There have been plenty of stories and strips in the history of “D&C” that have gone in more serious directions and I like to think that these characters have enough depth to handle the occasional plot that ISN’T just about water balloon gags and slapstick.
This story is one of the MAIN reasons I decided to return the strip to a five-day-a-week schedule starting next week. I’ve wanted to tell this story for a while now, but I realized that with the strip running only three-days-a-week, that telling such a drawn out tale would simply take TOO long and be TOO slow to keep up interest. That said, I hope you all are willing to take this ride with me.
