UPDATE:
As you already know, Sunday’s at D&C have returned thanks to the commissions program. That’s right, if YOU make a commission request for just a small donation not only do you get an original drawing but that same drawing will be used as a snazzy new SUNDAY entry in the “D&C” archives! YOU can become a part of the action!

But that’s NOT the only way to become a part of the fun of “Dandy & Company”!!! I’ve got a new idea to get things rolling for the upcoming new year. If Sunday is MY “Community Theater” entries, than what about Saturday? Well… how about I leave that up to YOU guys?!

That’s right. Starting the first Saturday of 2008, Saturdays will become “TOTAL CHAOS: Community Theater!” Instead of the two-plus weeks of Guest Strips that I run every year, how about something a bit more… regular. How about I devote EVERY Saturday starting in 2008 to an exciting, funny guest strip from one of YOU! The loyal readers of this very strip?!

I can’t think of a better way to let everyone in on the fun! What do you all think? Feeling up to the challange?

While Dandy may be a little burnt out (pun intended) from his recent exploits, it’s business as usual for Bernard.

As I was drawing this strip and the one before it, I had to once again remind myself that I’m in FLORIDA writing it during early September. And that the strip is taking place at the end of October in Ohio, so Jackets are required.

There really isn’t a single stable relationship in the strip, is there. Between Dandy & Maryweather’s on again/off again pseudo-relationship, Bernard and Audrey’s weird dynamic and George and Mae’s… WHATEVER that is, everyone’s a little off.

Audrey and Bernard have a completely one-sided relationship and Audrey has the keys. As such, even something as simple as Bernard pointing out that she was mad over nothing is against the rules. I’ve been in that relationship before, and was about as non-confrontational about it as Bernard here. sigh
