This strip is inspired, in part, by a true stroy I heard on the Discovery Chanel show, MYTHBUSTERS. It’s reported that the guy on the rear of the ship there with our heroes WAS in-fact, there. He was a crew-member who rode the railing as the ship sank, and got completely plastered on the way down. When the ship entered the water, he simply stepped off into the ocean, where his high blood-alchohol level apparently pickeled him well enough for him to survive and be rescued. (So I’m not goofing on a dead guy today.)
